The United States is well known as an individualist country (perhaps the most extreme example of individualism) and in contrast, Korea is a relatively strong collectivist society.
pattern between Korean and American people. Differences are evident on all of the dimensions - PDI (Power Distance Index), IDV (Individualism), MAS (Masculinity), UAI (Uncertainty Avoidance Index) and LTD (Long-Term Orientation).
Most notably, the United States is the highest dimension of Individualism (IDV) while Korea’s IDV rate suggests strong collectivism. We can safely say that how you relate to people in Korea may cause strained relations in the United States
