1. Why Bob Knowlton did resign?
The case of Bob Knowlton described a situation that works out badly. It concerned with personalities involved, especially those of Knowlton and Fester, and the organizational characteristics.
I will talk about Bob Knowlton’s resignation.
Personality:
The reason of his resignation is that we can say personality problem. Some major forces influenced personality. Especially, social class which is related with individual personality influences Bob’s self-perception, perception of others and perception of work, authority, and money. He was afraid that losing his position after Simon Fester came. Because of this situation, he recognized next behavior and changed his personality. According to the Big Five Personality Dimensions, Bob has agreeableness personality. It is tendency to be courteous, forgiving, tolerant, trusting, and soft-hearted. It is a dimension that can help make someone an effective team player and can pay off in jobs where developing and maintaining good interpersonal relationships in important.
Otherwise, Fester has extroversion personality. It is tendency to be sociable, gregarious, assertive, talkative, and active. People high in extroversion tend to joy talking and interacting with co-workers, and they gravitate toward jobs that have s good deal of social interaction.
