본문내용
1. Infection
A) Definition of Infection
Infection is a condition in which pathogens, or disease-causing microbes, invade the body and cause disease by proliferating on the surface of mucous membranes or in internal tissues.
B) Infection Cycle
Infection does not just begin with the presence of a pathogen. There is a balance between the nature of the microbial that causes disease and the body's defense to protect against the disease, and through the chain of infection cycle we can identify the factors that govern the transmission of infectious diseases. The chain of infection cycle consists of six components, including an infectious factor, reservoir, portal of exit, mode of transmission, portal of entry, and susceptible host, and each component is connected sequentially, which refers to the process in which infection occurs. From blocking this infection circuit we can control and block the infection.
