-Theoretical background : SS275
SS275 is the most produced and consumed steel. In SS275, SS is Steel Structure,
275 means that the yield strength is 275 MPA min.
SS275 is applicable to five steel products: Plate, Streep, Section, Flat and Round-Bar.
There are six Steel Symbols: SS235, SS275, SS315, SS410, SS450, and SS550.
SS275 is the most commonly used material throughout the industry, and it was previously called SS400, but its name was changed because it was divided into surrender strengths.
→Characteristics of SS275
1) It cannot be used for the body, hard plate, etc. of a pressure vessel
whose design pressure exceeds 1.6 MPaG.
2) In the fuselage and hard plates of pressure vessels with a design pressure exceeding 1.6 MPaG, the fuselage cannot be used for those with length joints by welding or those with welding faying surfaces on the hard plates.
3) Containers with a substrate thickness of 16 mm or more at the welded portion..
