본문내용
There was accident that 2 teenage girls were burned in the Pinto which was made by Ford because fuel tank ruptured in 1973. Since 1970 many people died, and the problem of the accidents was its susceptibility in fire in low speed rear-end collision. It was the first court case to brought charge of reckless homicide which is murder by prosecution. It was not considered as negligence. Also, prior to Indian accident, there were case of Richard Grimshaw who died in car because of the hit from the rear and killed neighbor on the road. They could have lived if there was no fire. However, these accidents are just 2 cases from the long list of people who burn to death in the car sold by Ford. They had to pay penalties for more than $30,000 and verdict had chance to affect other civil cases about car accidents caused by Ford. Not only hundreds of million dollars of punitive damage bar, but also, they had to be in charge of social responsibility, ethical decision and proper conduct.
