In the article, the author’s main point is that Singapore is such great country that have continuously growing economy and retrieving large amounts of basic resources such as energy,
food, labor and water to fulfill local demands. However, due to the limited area they have, the government had to resolve the expansion of area by the development of “The Underwater City”, known as (marine) space manufacturing. The author believes that Singapore’s rapid economic growth is resulting in new method of space production and this manufacturing will reflect technocratic urbanism in Singapore.
