•cause : trauma(90%), cancer, vascular complication
–L/Ex: vascular (m/c)
•Finger amputation(78%), highest percentage
–Index, ring, long finger (75%),
–Thumb(18%)
•Transradial level : 31%
Transhumeral level : 28%
•Rt. arm is more frequently involved in work related injury
•congenital limb deficiency
–4.1/10,000 live births
–m/c: Lt. short transradial level
