Performance Incentive systemThe system which motivates an individuals to perform better, so that the employees can get rewards such as Bonuses & promotion Points.
Theory
Our team thought that PI system fits in to many motivation theories.
Goal setting theory – PI helps setting a specific and feasible goal in organization with rewards.
Expectancy theory – 1)setting tasks ->2)preparation of rewards if acheveing -> the value of reward expected.
Reinforcement theory –
Compensation that considered reward make employees to working hard that considered behavior
Explain the reason of why Homeplus introduced a system
3) But it can not explain employee’s inner state
Problems & Solutions
PI only deals with outer state. It cannot reflect employee’s inner state such as value or objectives.
So Homeplus made another Incentive system which can make mutual evaluation.
