Introduction
Our group chose Yuhan-Kimberly as our group team project theme because this group has compelling features that we had learned in the last class so we decided to analyze this company on the view that we studied.
Yuhan-kimberly was founded as a joint venture with american company Kimberly-Clark and Yuhan Yanghaeng in the rate of 6:4 but later Kimberly Clark bought 10% share of company for Yuhan's. This company was made by the need of Kimberly Clark because Korea escaped ruins of war and showed marvelous economic growth in the late 1960's, so people in korea had purchasing power in basic supplies which Kimberly-Clark had already sold in the world-wide market. However, there are some problems that Kimberly-Clark was not able to develop korean market directly. First, at that time, Korea had no infrastructure that can distribute and propaganda product so Kimberly expected that early fixed cost was away too much compared to marginal profit. Second, Korean people hadn't liked foreign company because they were under Japan for 35years.
