Wood has been used for the entire historical record of mankind. Building products and materials such as bridges, housing and cookeries have played a significant role and used as a tool for living and evolving. However, the industrial revolution which started from the 18th to 19th century significantly affected on entire aspect of life of people such as agriculture, mining, transport and manufacturing (Wikipedia). In particular, building methodology, which timber was the main source material, has changed a focus from timber to other different materials (synthetic products) such as concrete and steel to increase strength and minimize costs. However, these alternative materials turned out having low environmental benefits and more modernization has caused deforestration and increased usage of fossil fuels hence finally climate change and global warming have occurred (figure 1 and 2).
