Ⅰ. The reason why I choose this unit
Communication is important things in English skills. Many Koreans, even though adults, are difficult to speak and express English; even if it has difference between Korean and English, Koreans don`t understand what speakers mean.
In this chapter, students learn about English idioms like break a leg(good luck), on the house(for nothing). When I read this unit, I also learned many idioms and when I watched the movies, I understanded that expressions.
I want that students understand and express English idioms if it is different from Korean. Also, when they don`t understand English expressions, they can say what does that mean.
Ⅱ. General objective & Specific objective
- General objective
1. Students can understand English idioms and express them; break a leg, lemon, chicken, face in crowd and bee.
2. Students can speak and listen unfamiliar expressions and they can speak if they don`t understand the expressions.
3. Students can learn history of meaningful words; they can express them appropiately.
