6.2 WO Strategies of two companiesMcDonald’s
McDonald’s is very famous on fast-food market; most of people think that fast food equals easy but also equals junk food, those people want to promote healthy food and organic food in the current society, they don’t want have health problems, so McDonald’s must make new product with organic and very low calorie and fat, their foods items must good for health. They also need to improve their quality management to attract more customers.

KFC
If KFC want enter new markets and increase its market share and profits, they must improve its resource and development: KFC has entered so many markets in the past in the US that its growth rate was about only one percent an year, because it never pays attention to its resource and development. And it must have some good idea and big change about their new chicken foods to beat their major fast food competitors because their major competitors in the chicken products of fast-food industry were trying to increase its market share. (KFC SWOT Analysis, 2008)
6.3 ST Strategies of two companies
McDonald’s
McDonald’s have a lot of major competitors, so it must use the large brand equity and strong cash flows to block them. The company can use strong cash flows to make a lot of new food items and products and also can improve its quality management and quality Service to attract new customers. Recession in economy leads restaurant visits have decreased, so the company should better to make some change the price of their product, low and fair price can let customers and McDonald’s have win-win situation. (McDonald`s SWOT, 2009)
