1 Purpose of Lab
The object falling on the curvature is off-bending in a moment and goes the free-fall. In theory, calculate the falling point of object and review the results as compared to the measuring values.
4 Procedure
(1) Put the ball at the arbitrary point of A section and follow the curvature. Measure the falling position, C and a distance, S of the ball at D section. In the same position on A section, repeat the experiments five times or more.
(2) Measure the falling location of the ball in a different location at A section.
(3) Obtain the distance, S according to the procedure to calculate.
(4) Describe the difference between theory and experiment results.
6.2 The factor causing error
Uncertain start point
I can`t find easily the start point. And there are some typos in the equipment. Not only from the equipment, But also from the experimentor It could be made. It`s very hard to find the exact start point, and also it`s very hard to put the ball at the same point.
So, to lessen the error from this, there may be some assistance equipment helping find the exact point and put the exact point. The pin could be used for this. Or the pipe, locate the above of the equipment, could help to lessen this error.
