기초연기의 평가는 중학교와 고등학교 그리고 대학의 실기과목평가로, 더 나아가 연기관련 대학입시, 각종 청소년연극제와 그에 포함된, 또는 독립적인 독백 콘테스트 등에서도 실시되고 있
다. 그러나 심사자의 전문적 판단에 의존할 수밖에 없는 연기력 평가는 객관적인 기준의 평가가
되기 어렵고 그에 따른 공정성 및 객관성에 대한 문제가 적지 않게 제기되어 왔다. 아무리 전문
적인 심사자들 일지라도 완전히 일치하는 심사결과를 얻는 경우는 흔치 않다. 즉, 화술이나 감
정표현, 호흡, 발성, 움직임 등 심사자 각자의 연기력 평가의 심사기준이 다르기 때문에 평가대
상에 대한 객관적인 평가가 어렵게 된다.
영어 초록
Until now, acting evaluation has been carried out in a comprehensive manner. After watching thefree-style acting prepared by the applicants, a panel of judges evaluated the acting solely based on their
subjective evaluation standard. Subjective evaluation of acting not only makes it difficult to get accurate
evaluation of applicants but also can result in making a mistake of putting other factors such as looks,
image, physical conditions above acting itself.
This study was conducted based on acting practice simulation evaluation carried out in September 2012
in order to establish evaluation standard for basic acting skills.
Acting practice simulation evaluation was composed of speech, movement, free-style acting, and special
talent based on achievement standards and achievement levels suggested in 2009. However, the present
study scored the level of each applicant with a focus on speech area though an evaluation which was
subdivided into categories of pronunciation, pause, and intonation.
Basic acting evaluation which combines written test with practical test suggests an objective evaluation
standard that allows judges to evaluate how much an applicant is aware of himself/herself and to what
extent he/she truly appreciates the spoken words while using them.
As a result of conducting the evaluation with subdivided categories, it was found that most applicants
use the words without understanding the words they are saying. This indicates that fundamental acting
training course as well as evaluation standards should be established. Just as subdivided management and
measurement is needed in order to make athletes the best they can be, the study result shows that the
same is likewise required in acting training and evaluation.
Acting training/education until now only looked at the overall acting while overlooking the specifics of
acting. This made it impossible to implement objective evaluation on acting. When it comes to basic
acting, objective evaluation can be partially realized, as in speech evaluation, by combing the written test
and the practical test. Subdivided acting evaluation is a scored objective evaluation, which makes scored
measurements possible instead of simple levels of good, fair, and poor. Moreover, since it even allows for
classification of the applicants to the upper few percentile along with scores, each applicant can accurately
ascertain his/her weaknesses, which can be the basis of correction through training.
