본 연구에서는 부모의 휴대폰 사용을 통한 청소년 자녀의 생활모니터링 내용을 요인화 하였
고, 휴대폰 이용실태와 인구사회학적 변인과의 차이, 그리고 휴대폰 이용실태에 따른 청소년 자
녀의 생활모니터링 하위요인의 차이를 밝혀보고자 하였다. 연구대상은 대구, 부산, 울산, 마산,
대전에 거주하는 임의 선정된 부모 150명이다. 자료분석은 빈도분석, 요인분석, 교차분석,
ANOVA를 실시하였다. 휴대폰을 사용한 청소년 자녀의 모니터링 내용을 요인분석한 결과 학교
생활, 훈육지도, 일상생활, 소재파악으로 확인되었으며, 청소년기에 해당하는 중․고등학생 자녀
를 둔 40대 부모들과 직업을 가진 부모들 그리고 자녀의 성적이 조금 잘한다고 생각하는 부모들
이 휴대폰을 적극적으로 사용하고 있었다. 또한 휴대폰 사용과 관련하여 모니터링 하위요인에서
전반적으로 유의미한 차이가 나타났다. 이는 청소년 자녀들이 부모의 휴대폰을 통한 모니터링에
대하여 간섭으로 느끼기보다 자신들을 보호하기 위한 활동으로 이해하고 있음을 알 수 있다. 따
라서 휴대폰을 사용하여 자녀를 모니터링 함으로써 위험한 상황에 노출되는 것을 미리 예방하거
나, 심리적으로 안정감을 주는 지지를 해줌으로써 사회에 잘 적응하도록 도울 수 있으므로 부모
들은 적절한 휴대폰 사용을 통하여 자녀와의 긍정적 소통의 관계를 지속해 나가야 할 것이다.
또한 자녀의 휴대폰 감시에 있어서도 갈등을 초래하지 않고 이루어질 수 있는 전략이 필요하다.

영어 초록

The objective of this study is to identify the elements to pro-actively and actively monitor the everyday
life of the adolescent children by their parents with the help of cell phone. In addition, the study is
aiming to identify the socio-demographic elements, the difference between variables related to the use of
cell phone and the monitoring elements related to the use of cell phones. The target of the research is
150 parents who were randomly selected in the regions including Daegu, Busan, Ulsan, Masan and
Daejun. For data analysis, the were conducted frequencies, factor analysis, cross analysis, ANOVA. As a
result of the analysis on the parental monitoring of adolescent children by using cell phone, the elements
of monitoring can be categorized into the school life, moral education, everyday life and the whereabouts
of their children. The parents who are in their 40’s who have jobs and middle school of high
schoolchildren and those who think their children’s academic performance is above the average were found
to actively use cell phones to monitor the lives of their children. In addition, meaningful difference has
been identified in the sub-elements of the monitoring related to the use of cell phone. The adolescent
children of Parents for monitoring via cell phone interference with activities to protect themselves than feel
and know that you can undetstand. In this regard, parents are encouraged to maintain positive
communications with their children through appropriate use of cell phones because it can help them
monitor their children, thereby preventing the children from being exposed to dangerous situations and
providing supports to the children to give psychological security. In addition, even in your child's cell
phone surveillance can be done without causing conflict strategies are needed.
