본 연구의 목적은 동시를 활용한 독서지도가 학습부진아의 자기 표현력과 사회성에
미치는 효과를 알아보고자 하는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 대구광역시에 소재하는
J초등학교 5학년 학습부진아 2명을 연구대상으로 선정하여, 동시 활용 독서지도
프로그램에 의한 자기 표현력 및 사회성의 변화 점수와의 관계를 알아보기 위해 단일
대상 사전 · 사후 검사 설계(one group pretest-posttest design)를 적용하였다. 본
연구에서 나타난 결과는 첫째, 동시를 활용한 독서지도는 학습부진아의 자기 표현력
향상에 효과적이다. 동시를 활용한 독서지도를 실시한 대상자는 의견표출, 성격 또는
태도, 신체의 자기 표현력 4가지 하위 영역에서 각각 긍정적으로 변화하였다. 둘째,
동시를 활용한 독서지도는 학습부진아의 사회성 향상에 효과적이다. 동시를 활용한
독서지도를 실시한 대상자는 사회성 검사 점수가 사전 검사에 비해 더 높은 점수로
상승하여 긍정적으로 변화하였음을 알 수 있다.
영어 초록
The purpose of this study was to investigate effects of reading guidance by
using children's poems on self-expression and sociality of underachievers.
The subjects of this study were selected among fifth-graders of two
classes in J elementary school located in Daegu Metropolitan City. After the
diagnostic assessment of coursework(2009) for fourth-graders in elementary
schools for which Ministry of Education, Science and Technology established
standards of development, distribution, and achievement was applied to the
students, four students who failed to satisfy the standards of achievement in one
or more subjects including Korean Language, Mathematics, Social Studies,
Sciences, and English Language were selected to be the subjects of this study.
Out of the four, two were excluded because of opposition of their parents
and taking classes for institutes, and the rest two underachievers were the
final subjects. The subjects underwent a 24-session reading guidance program
by using children's poems and were investigated of their changes in
self-expression and sociality via pre-test and post-tests. The conclusion of this
study based on the results are as follows.
First, the reading guidance by using children's poems had positive effects
on improvement in self-expression of underachievers. The subjects who
underwent the reading guidance by using children's poems showed positive
changes in four sub-domains such as opinion expression, characteristics or
attitude, and physical self-expression, respectively.
Second, the reading guidance by using children's poems had positive effects
of enhancement of sociality of underachievers. The subjects who underwent
the reading guidance by using children's poems showed positive changes in
that the scores of sociality test were higher when compared to those of the
pre-test.
Conclusively, the reading guidance by using children's poems not only presented
underachievers with opportunity to appropriately express themselves but made
them acquire emotional and psychological stability for underachievers by
expressing the world as language as they saw.
