The purpose of this study is to design and develop a multimedia program for high school Korean subject, especially for the 7th curriculum. In order to satisfy the purpose of the study, the following topics were analyzed: the major problems and issues of the 7th curriculum, benefits of multimedia for Korean subject.
We heve organized a developing team and conducted several analysis: content and task analysis, environmental conditions analysis, and Korean teacher needs accessment on multimedia.
According to the recommendations from the analysis, we have declared the principles for designig Korean Subject: 1) It should use the sequence of Korean textnook, 2) It should be good for use at plain classroom encionment 3) It is possible to use for three different levels(basic, supplementary, advance level), 4) It can be sued for indiviual learnesrs also, 5) It should be possible to add of fix contents or database by teachers easily, 6) It should provide several functions to help teachers activities at classroom 7) The sequence of the contents can be modified by teachers, ir necessarily, 8) Individualized testing should be allowed.
While using the principles, a multimedia program has been developied with more detailed strategies. There are also several discussions and recommendations for further research .
