[요론]GC-MS OAM 모니터는 기상환경 및 대기환경 오염현상과 오염원에 관한 가치 있는 각 종 정보를 1시간의 시간 간격으로 각종 유기화합물에 대한 데이터로 제공해 준다. 또한 GC-MS OAM 모니터는 실험실적 기자재보다도 더 높은 농도의 유기성 화합물을 측정 할 수 있게 해주고, 야전의 현지에서도 자율적으로 운용할 수 있어, 기상환경과 대기환 경의 대류층 높이에 따른 유기성 에어졸 농도를 측정할 수 있고, 대기오염과 그 오염원 을 특정할 수 있게 해주는 능력도 갖고 있다.
지구적으로 소형의 GC-MS OAM 모니터의 개발에서는 아직 전래적인 필터만 적용할 뿐 첨단적인 나노멤브레인(nano-membrane)을 필터 재료로 적용하는 연구는 하지 않고 있으므로, 우리나라에서 이미 확보하고 있는 나노막 기술을 한국적인 나노막 필터 개발 에 적용하는 하이터치 기술 개발은 한국의 기상전문 중소기업 연구소를 위한 적정한 기술이 될 것으로 기대한다.

1. 기상환경과 미세먼지 에어졸
지구 대기권의 대류권(troposphere)은 지표면에서 지상 11 km까지의 상부 공간으로 기상 환경과 미기상환경 및 대기환경이 공존하는 공간 환경이다. 대류권의 미기상환경의 미 분진(PM: particulate matter)은 지구기후변화에 상당한 영향을 미치지만, 인류와 동식물 의 건강에도 심대한 위해성(risk)를 미치고 있다. 특히 기상환경 미분진의 10~90%는 유 기물질로 구성되는 유기성 에어졸(organic aerosol), 그 나머지의 무기물질로 구성되는 무 기성 에어졸(inorganic aerosol) 및 유・무기성 혼합 에어졸로 되어 있다.
기상환경과 미기상환경 및 대기환경 중에는 해양과 호수와 하천 등으로부터 대류권으로 피어오르는 물방울로서 수분이 부유하고, 지표면에서부터 날아오르는 무기성・유기성 분진과 흄(fume)에 의해 적지 않은 미분진도 부유하고 있다.
